With 43% of confectionery purchases made on impulse, clear displays and product grouping are key to driving conversion. The leaflet outlines how to create a “Perfect Store” that encourages customers to “take more breaks and drive your sales,” using planogram insights tailored for different shopper needs.

The guide highlights the importance of balance between singles and sharing formats, with each accounting for 50% of space, and shows how to position products like Kit Kat, Yorkie, Aero, and Milkybar to maximise visibility and performance. Retailers are encouraged to use Nestlé’s point-of-sale kits across high-traffic areas such as till zones, hot drinks stations, and food-to-go sections. According to Nestlé, stores following these merchandising principles can see up to a 6% uplift in sales, with new product activations boosting rate of sale by as much as 80%.
